I’m back in the district after a great week-long family reunion in North Carolina. We’ve had one every year (give or take) for as long as I remember and it’s always a relaxing, entertaining and fun-filled trip. This year was no exception.

Actually, an extremely hot night.

While I can’t say that it topped the gaga, the U2 concert in Baltimore Wednesday night was a close second.

If you are a dc resident and have yet to visit the newseum I urge you to go. I absolutely loved it when I visited with my parents a couple months ago, especially the Pulitzer Prize Photographs Gallery.

It’s a fine city, this district of columbia.

Yesterday I went to HomeGoods to buy a shower caddy. $132 later I left with a whole new decorating project. I’ve decided to renew my lease in my mousehole so I’m having the urge to refresh things a little. It all started when some very dear and old friends gave me a CB2 gift certificate for my birthday. I am most excited for my new running with the bulls print to arrive. Plus it’s on sale for $99 – winner winner chicken dinner!
